EVERY DAY’S A HOLIDAY: Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a magical park for kids of all ages, especially during the holidays. The highlight of the holiday festivities is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, where millions of brilliant bulbs blanket the backlot with dancing lights and animated displays synchronized to high-energy holiday tunes. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.Singing champ Lee DeWyze celebrated his recentvictory as the newest “American Idol” today in aHollywood-style motorcade through Disney'sHollywood Studios at the Walt Disney WorldResort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Excited fanslined the streets, cheering on America's newest“Idol” as he greeted fans and joined in the fun aspart of the many “What Will You Celebrate?” festivities taking place at Disney Parks.
The event is a celebration of Lee's crowningmoment on “American Idol,” and the singerliving out his “I'm Going to Disney World!”pronouncement. DeWyze shouted the famous phrasemere moments after his big win at the NokiaTheatre on May 26 in Los Angeles. Lee is thethird singer to shout out the famous line for thecommercial that has starred some of the world'stop athletes for more than 20 years. This year'sspot celebrates the new “American Idol” themedattraction - “The American Idol Experience” - thatopened at Disney's Hollywood Studios in February2009. It is the first attraction anywhere in the worldto be based on the pop culture phenomenon and immerses guests in the authentic feel of a live television production. In the attraction, Disneyguests are able to experience the glitz and glamour of the “American Idol” television show - whether they are performing on stage in front ofa packed theatre or voting for their favoriteperformance from their audience seats.
